Are you on holiday camping in Vielle Saint Girons, on the magnificent Silver Coast? Between the ocean, lake, and forest, there’s no shortage of activities in this seaside resort in Landes: walks or bike rides through the pine trees, discovery of the Courant d’Huchet nature reserve,… but Vielle Saint Girons also boasts five magnificent sandy beaches, where you can enjoy surfing, swimming, or simply relaxing! Indeed, the commune of Vielle Saint Girons is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean for 17 km. With four oceanfront beaches and one lakeside beach, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

The Two Beaches of Saint-Girons-Plage in Vielle Saint Girons

Located in the heart of Vielle Saint Girons, these two very popular beaches are a meeting point for swimmers and surfers, drawn by their impressive waves. They are very easy to access and have showers and restrooms. Swimming is supervised there between June 1st and September 30th.

La Lette Blanche Beach in Vielle Saint Girons

Looking for a slightly wilder beach? Head to La Lette Blanche beach! Located south of Saint-Girons-Plage in the Landes forest, it is one of the wildest beaches in Landes. A must for anyone looking to combine nature and vast sandy expanses! Here, with no imposing buildings, you’ll feel like you’re alone in the world… And completely safe. The beach is indeed supervised all summer long. Despite its wild character, it has restrooms and showers. It is also accessible to people with reduced mobility, thanks to a special chair (the tiralo) adapted for the beach and swimming.

Arnoutchot Beach in Vielle Saint Girons

Heading towards Pichelèbe and right next to La Lette Blanche beach, you’ll find Arnoutchot beach. It shares all the characteristics of its neighbor, but beware: it is reserved for naturism. Swimsuits are forbidden!

The Lake Beach in Vielle Saint Girons

To take a break from the waves, there’s nothing like a relaxing day at the lake. You’ll enjoy large shaded areas to spread out your towel or have a family picnic. Swimming takes place in calm, fresh water. Other activities are also available, such as canoeing or sailing. From the lake, you can go up the Courant d’Huchet, which connects the lake to the ocean: a magnificent nature reserve, waiting to be discovered!
