Although the department is known for its extraordinary natural landscape, it abounds with other cultural and culinary treasures… absolutely worth discovering. Places to Visit around the Campsite
Vielle-Saint-Girons is first and foremost about its beaches. And what beaches they are! Saint-Girons Plage is located at the crossroads of the Landes forest and the Atlantic Ocean: a breathtaking landscape! No less famous, La Lette Blanche (towards Moliets) will attract those who enjoy spots better known to locals.
Our national ‘little Amazon’ is certainly a must-see. 1,300,000 hectares of forest stretching 220 km, enough to thrill any hiker’s heart. Don’t hesitate to also visit Dax thermal spa, France’s leading thermal destination, which is only 38 km from the campsite!
Among the must-sees are also the Soustons Gardens near the town. Enjoy a pleasant day with family or loved ones in the vast picnic areas of this unique place.
Don’t miss out on a complete immersion by visiting the museum of Landes tradition and cultural heritage, which wonderfully represents local rural life.
