This vast 52-hectare lagoon features calm waters naturally renewed by the ocean as the tides change. The loop to the Etang de Moïsan is a moderately demanding circuit starting from Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains, offering a rich and changing panorama. The route takes you first to the foot of the dunes, then through the pines of the Landes forest, before skirting the Messanges semaphore. You then skirt around the Moïsan pond and discover the pastures where the famous Landaise sea cows graze. Return along the Léon-Soustons cycle path, which takes you back to the center of Vieux-Boucau.
