Every year, the first Wednesday after July 14th, Mont-de-Marsan comes alive with the Fêtes de la Madeleine, the city’s flagship event. For five days, the Landes city pays tribute to Mary Magdalene, its patron saint, in an atmosphere that is festive, bullfighting-oriented, and popular all at once.
