History and Values of Labenne Zoo<\/h2>\n

Benefiting from an exceptional location, this zoo is situated in the heart of the Landes forest<\/strong>, just a few steps from the beach. Initially named
\n Parc Animalier de Labenne<\/strong>
\n<\/a>, it was created in 1998 by Philippe de Par\u00e9d\u00e8s. <\/p>\n

In 2012, it was taken over by V\u00e9ronique Darrieulat and Damien Carles. Upon acquisition, they introduced new species (wolves, cranes, etc.), added unique areas (lemur island, aquatic bird aviary, etc.), and various activities. The owners’ main goal is to create an environment close to the animals’ natural habitat<\/strong>. Among them, you will mainly find mammals, reptiles, and birds<\/strong>. They are all pampered summer and winter. Their diet and ambient temperature are adapted to the specific needs of each species. <\/p>\n

A complete team works in collaboration with this very dedicated couple (animal keepers, veterinarians, educational team to write workshop materials, etc.).<\/p>\n
